Junior Cadet Corps

T.S Alacrity Junior Cadet Corps is an independent naval cadet unit based in Denmead.
We have been running since 1992 and cater for boys and girls aged between 7 1/2to 18 years. Our ship is a completely self-funded unit and we rely solely on the hard work of our cadets, officers, helpers (all whom are voluntary), to raise money to keep the unit open.

We have at present around 25 cadets who come from a variety of different cultural and social backgrounds; some with learning difficulties such as dyslexia or ADHD, physical and mental disabilities, hearing loss and some who live in foster care or single parent families. We aim to provide these cadets with a stable environment in which they can learn how to come together as a group, make new friends and experience many new and exciting challenges.
